Press Release One Moving Part The patent pending “variable
displacement” design allows the same pump to be used on engines with
200 to 2,500 horsepower. The pump adjusts output to demand rather than
bypassing excess fuel like older designs for less power consumption and
cooler fuel. The Race Pump is available in carbureted and EFI
versions. Inlets are -8 or -10 AN, outlets are -8 AN. Construction is 6061-T6
billet aluminum with a hard anodized finish. A 1/8” insulator plate and
12 point mounting bolts are included. Activation is directly from the OEM pushrod,
eliminating the cumbersome lever. Any fuel can be used…..Gas, Methanol or E85. Race Pumps Billet Regulators are another example of dependability through
simplicity. Traditional regulators fail to control fuel pressure properly due
to “valve float”. Larger, higher flowing regulators typically
have more erratic fuel pressure due to an even larger/heavier valve. The new
Race Pumps regulators take a very logical approach to this problem.....they
have a light weight ceramic valve.....the same material used in aerospace
bearings....and more spring pressure...SIMPLE. Construction is 6061-T6
billet aluminum with a hard anodized finish. The inlet is 1/2” NPT, the
duel outlets are 3/8” NPT. Options include a -4 idle
bleed for vapor lock prone applications, a -3 boost reference for
turbo/supercharged applications and a 1/8” vacuum reference for
“load sensitive” fuel pressure with carburetors. The twelve different
regulators when matched with either the carbureted or EFI version of the Race
Pump cover all carbureted and EFI applications, any fuel (gas, methanol, E85)
supercharged or turbocharged, pull through or blow through.
